i should be studying.
but then i read joseph's site and now i have something to say.
so change is inevitable and time keeps marching forward and yada-yada-yada. thaaaat's great. really. but seriously, people: change involves everything, not just you. it's not like everyone else stays the same and you go through this marvelous change. so as you change, do everyone else a favor and look around to see who/what else is/has changing/ed with you.
no one is left behind, because time doesn't care; it takes everything with it. so even if you think you haven't changed, the environment in which you involve youself has. thus, whether you like it or not, times bring change and you are carried along.
what you can be, is an "informed changer", one who realizes the potential for change and knows that with one change, so another will follow. and that this cycle will incessantly repeat itself and that is what takes us from today to tomorrow.
but don't ever leave the periphery behind. the moment you neglect it is the moment you will lose it. and you will wish you never had, because sooner or later, you're going to get to the end of that tunnel and find the light and wonder, "what happened to everything else?" and you will have no clue. and no one, nothing will tell you, because you were the one who negected them first.

okay. way too many things to say.
first of all, thanks for sticking around, mo-jo. it's been such a great time with you. i only hope to keep them coming.
second of all, i had the greatest time at staff meeting tonight. i seriously love my ra staff members. they bring such great dynamics to the staff and i am so honored to be able to work with all eight of them. and thanks for the soup, sean! oh, it was so frikkin delicious.
thirdly, i want to thank mo-jo (again) for the classy (and slightly controversial) conversation that we had tonight. it was good, and i am glad that you will still respect me even after everything that i believe in. whether it be religion, politics, whatever. thanks for reassuring me that you respect me the same. because i can go on forever, let me tell you.
so... this is the extremely abridged version of the highlights of my day. and i am way glad it ended how it did. i will have a good night's sleep tonight. thanks again.
